Adeline led a very active life throughout her school years playing competitive floorball and swimming. She gradually lost touch with movement after entering the workforce, where her life became a repetitive work-home-sleep cycle due to the long hours spent working in a research lab. With a nudge from a friend to purchase a trial group class together, she eventually tried out Pilates.

One session a week quickly became three - a sanctuary away from the daily grind, offering stress relief and a space she genuinely looked forward to. What started simply as a way to move and sweat soon evolved into a desire for deeper understanding. She realized that mindful movement is very different from merely completing a set number of exercises and repetitions, and that even the simplest exercise could feel surprisingly challenging when the right muscles are properly engaged.

This led Adeline to take a career break and enroll in the STOTT PILATES® Teacher Training programme to deepen her knowledge, with hopes to create personalised exercise plans for herself at home. As the course progresses, she began to see how meaningful and impactful Pilates can be for people of all ages. She found not only a passion for the method, but also the desire to help her aging parents and others experience and reap the same benefits that Pilates can offer.
